Next Meeting:
Saturday, February 20th at 10:00 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the St. Albans Public Library, 4th Street at 6th Avenue. Wade Stiltner, WV bee inspector, will be our featured speaker and talk about treating our bees for Nosema Cerana.

New Vice President: Dale Harbert has taken on the responsibility of KVBA vice president and will be in charge of planning our programs. If you have an idea for a program, Dale will appreciate it if you call him (304-984-0408) with your suggestion.

KVBA Newsletter via e-mail: We have begun a new system of getting our newsletter to our members. All of you who give us your e-mail address will receive the newsletter electronically. Sending newsletter electronically will save our association approximately 50 cents each member per mailing.

Ag Day: West Virginia Department of Agriculture will sponsor the annual Ag Day at the state capitol on February 26th. It is important that as many members as possible attend to inform the legislators of the importance of honeybees to our food supply and to solicit their support.

Workshop at Wooster, Ohio: This two-day workshop sponsored by the Tri-County Beekeepers Association and the OSU Extension service will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 5th and 6th. This workshop is known for the large number of venders selling bee supplies and for having nationally known speakers. More information will be available at our February meeting.

West Virginia Beekeepers Association Spring Meeting: Cabell-Wayne Beekeepers Association is hosting the annual spring meeting and has planned an exceptional program for Saturday, April 10th. Speakers include Jerry Hayes, Tom Webster, Larry Conners and Carl Marcum. Meeting begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Heritage Museum and Village in Huntington.
